My top 5 episodes of Being Freelance - Adam Pearson
When Being Freelance hit its 200th episode, we asked what your favourite episode is and invited you to tell us about it in no more than 200 words. Adam couldn’t pick a favourite but he narrowed it down to 5.
Adam Pearson’s Top 5 episodes of Being Freelance
I’ve only got 200 words (the tight git!) so best get to it.
My top 5 episodes of Being Freelance:
Paul Jarvis - an episode that’s made my business better
What I want for my business finally clicked after listening to Paul. Ever since I’ve been looking at making things better, not bigger.
Listen to the Paul Jarvis episode, 'Better, not bigger'
Gareth K Thomas - an episode that struck a chord with me
Gareth’s story made me realise that there’s more to life than running a business. It’s hard not be inspired by his values and outlook.
Andy Kirk - an episode that made me more creative
This was the first episode that challenged me to think that actually what I do, research and data, is creative. I even bought Andy’s book and attended his training after this.
A couple of episodes from some friendly voices….
It’s nice to look back on the Being Freelance back catalogue and reflect on how some of the people I listened to and took so much inspiration from have gone on to become friends.
Gareth Hancock: Building from scratch – what a story!
Dave Smyth: Know your personal value – what a voice!
And talking of voices and friends…
There’s been one constant since episode one: Steve. Sir Folland of Freelance. Take a bow.
Since Adam is a big fan of working with data, he also created this comprehensive analysis in infographic form :)
